Swap Purpose: Use the SWAP command to initiate an operator request for dynamic device reconfiguration (DDR) and to activate or deactivate system-initiated DDR.
Parameters The device number of the device from which the volume is to be swapped. devnum2 The device number of the device to which the volume is to be swapped. devnum1 and devnum2 must be of the same device type and must have compatible features. A device number is 3 hexadecimal digits. OFF System-initiated DDR is to be deactivated. Any further swapping of devices must be done by operator-initiated DDR. ON System-initiated DDR is to be activated for any further swapping of devices. |
